Keya Saree

Keya is a sunshine-yellow linen saree with large lily floral embroidery placed across the body and pallu. The breezy linen base keeps the drape light, breathable, and comfortable, while the detailed flowers bring colour and character to its mellow yellow canvas.

Each embroidered lily is built with layered threadwork in warm coral, soft green, muted blue, and rich red, creating patterned petals and colourful centres that feel almost hand-painted. Small light-catching dots are scattered between the blooms, adding a delicate glimmer without overwhelming the floral composition.

The saree’s clean yellow body allows the embroidery to remain the focus. As the pallu falls, the larger floral motifs create a graceful visual rhythm, while the subtle woven border and lightly fringed edge complete the look with understated detail. The fabric moves easily and holds a soft, natural texture, making Keya an expressive yet effortless choice for festive dressing.

Pair it with a solid blouse in ivory, sage green, coral, or a deeper yellow to bring out the colours in the embroidery. Technique 1 : Traditional handweaving on pit looms using 80 Lea Belgian linen yarn

Technique 2 : Hand-Embroidery

How It’s Done: Every step — from preparing the loom, softening the yarn, aligning threads, to the final weaving — is done entirely by hand with controlled tension to prevent breakage. After which every saree is set on the frame to be embroidered by Hand.

Time Taken: It takes about 2 weeks to hand-prepare the loom, 3 full days to hand-weave one saree, and an additional 6 days for the detailed thread embroidery.
