Sanjh - Dual Tone Blue Linen Dragonflies & Floral Embroidery Saree

Sanjh is a dual-tone blue linen saree inspired by the changing colours of twilight. Its drape moves from soft cerulean and smoky blue through to a deeper dusky indigo, creating a gentle shift in tone that feels calm, layered, and naturally luminous. The breathable linen base keeps the saree light and comfortable, while its changing blues give it a more elevated presence.

The pallu is brought to life with delicate floral embroidery and graceful dragonfly motifs. Embroidered leaves, blooms, buds, and fine details in soft greens, muted pinks, silver tones, and subtle accent threads create a small garden-like scene across the upper drape. Tiny light-catching embellishments are scattered between the motifs, adding a quiet sparkle that complements the linen without making it feel heavy.

A refined metallic border traces the saree and gives the dual-tone composition a polished finish. The pallu holds the more intricate embroidery, while the deeper indigo lower drape creates a beautiful contrast through the pleats. This balance lets the embroidery remain the focus while giving the saree a strong, elegant silhouette.

Style Sanjh with an ivory, slate blue, silver, or tonal indigo blouse. Pearl jewellery, silver earrings, and soft metallic accessories work especially well with its twilight palette. Technique 2 : Hand-Embroidery

How It’s Done: Every step — from preparing the loom, softening the yarn, aligning threads, to the final weaving — is done entirely by hand with controlled tension to prevent breakage. After which every saree is set on the frame to be embroidered by Hand.

Time Taken: It takes about 2 weeks to hand-prepare the loom, 3 full days to hand-weave one saree, and an additional 3 days for the detailed thread embroidery.
