Nisbat Saree

Nisbat is a soft pink linen saree that brings together the ease of a natural weave and the richness of intricate gold zardozi embroidery. The airy pink base feels light and graceful, while the handworked embellishments add a regal glimmer across the body and pallu. It is a saree that feels festive without losing the comfort and breathability that make linen so loved.

The embroidery is scattered in small, expressive motifs, from floral and sunburst-inspired forms to delicate linear details and tiny reflective accents. Each element adds texture and light to the drape, creating a surface that reveals more the closer you look. The pallu carries these details with a slightly fuller presence, allowing the goldwork to become the focal point as it falls.

Fine metallic stripes move through the pleats and lower drape, adding structure and a touch of shimmer to the soft pink linen. A subtle silver-toned border frames the saree and creates a quiet contrast against the warmer gold embroidery. The result is a balanced piece: gentle in colour, rich in craft, and easy to style for different celebrations.

Pair Nisbat with a deep wine, rose pink, antique gold, or ivory blouse. Gold jewellery, pearls, or kundan-inspired pieces will bring out the zardozi work beautifully. It is well suited to wedding functions, festive celebrations, intimate family events, cultural occasions, and special daytime gatherings where you want an elegant saree with visible handcrafted detail.

Technique 1 : Traditional handweaving on pit looms using 80 Lea Belgian linen yarn

Technique 2 : Hand-Embroidery, Zardozi, Thread Work, Beadwork.

How It’s Done: Every step — from preparing the loom, softening the yarn, aligning threads, to the final weaving — is done entirely by hand with controlled tension to prevent breakage. After which every saree is set on the frame to be embroidered by Hand.

Time Taken: It takes about 2 weeks to hand-prepare the loom, 3 full days to hand-weave one saree, and an additional 6 days for the detailed thread embroidery.
