Mirari Life Welcomes Shri Giriraj Singh at Indie Haat 2026
Share
The Mirari Life was honoured to welcome Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, at Indie Haat Delhi 2026.
The visit was a meaningful moment for the Mirari team: an opportunity to share the journey behind the brand, the textiles that shape its collections and the work it does with more than 150 artisans across India. In a space built around fabric, craft and human connection, the conversation brought attention back to what matters most to us—the people and processes behind every handwoven story.
The Mirari Life also had the privilege of interacting with Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Secretary (Textiles), Smt. Tanu Kashyap, Director General of NIFT, and Dr M. Beena, Development Commissioner for Handlooms. Their roles are reflected in the current public listings of the Ministry of Textiles, NIFT and the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms.
Sharing the journey behind The Mirari Life
Every Mirari textile carries more than colour, texture or design. It carries the labour of hands, the knowledge of craft and the quiet choices that make a fabric feel personal when it is finally worn.
At Indie Haat, we were grateful for the chance to introduce that journey in person. The Mirari Life has grown through a belief that Indian textiles should be experienced closely: held, draped, discussed and remembered. For us, that means creating space for handcrafted work to be seen with care rather than treated as a passing trend.
The occasion was especially meaningful because it reflected the wider ecosystem around Indian textiles. The work of artisans, weavers, designers, institutions and craft-led brands is interconnected. When those conversations come together, they create more visibility for the skill, material knowledge and cultural depth that handwoven textiles represent.
A moment for artisans and handwoven textiles
The team shared how The Mirari Life works with more than 150 artisans across India. That number represents a community of skills and stories that cannot be reduced to one product category or one exhibition moment.
It is seen in the feel of a fabric, the rhythm of a weave, the detail of a border and the way a finished piece comes alive when someone tries it on. These are the elements that are difficult to convey through a screen, and exactly why in-person events such as Indie Haat matter.
The Minister's visit was a proud moment for us to speak about this work, listen to the conversations around us and reaffirm our commitment to bringing handcrafted Indian textiles into contemporary wardrobes with thoughtfulness and respect.
From Akola to Indie Haat Delhi
Rooted in Akola, Maharashtra, The Mirari Life continues to build a world around textiles that feel expressive, wearable and connected to craft. Our presence at Indie Haat Delhi 2026 was not simply about presenting finished pieces. It was about sharing the values behind them: a respect for material, a belief in artisan skill and a desire to make Indian textiles part of everyday and occasion-led dressing.
We are thankful to NIFT for the platform and to everyone who stopped to engage with the Mirari story. The conversations, encouragement and attention to the textiles made this a moment the team will carry forward.
Looking ahead
This visit was a reminder of both the pride and responsibility that come with representing handcrafted textiles. We will continue to learn, build relationships with artisans and create pieces that make space for Indian fabric traditions in modern life.
The Mirari Life is grateful for the opportunity to have been part of Indie Haat Delhi 2026 and to have welcomed Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, to our showcase.
